Floods 2011: SAFWCO has assisted 413,000 flood affected people (59,000 families) in emergency relief phase in Sanghar & Shaheed Benazirabad Districts in WASH, Food Distribution & EFSL sectors while in Early Recovery Phase SAFWCO is providing assistance to 161,000 people (23,000 families) in District Sanghar under WASH & EFSL Program & planning to provide assistance to 410,000 people (58,571 families) under WASH in S. Benazirabad, Umerkot & Sanghar Districts. SAFWCO is planning to provide assistance to 84,000 (12,000 families) flood affected people (2010 floods) under WASH in District Jamshoro

Audit Committee
 
The Audit Committee assists the SAFWCO CED SECTOR Governing Body in reviewing the financial condition of the organization, the effectiveness of the internal control system of the organization, performance and findings of the internal auditors and recommending appropriate remedial action. The Audit Committee reviews the Annual Audit Report and audit findings as raised by the external auditors in the Memorandum on Internal Control and Other Matters of Annual Audit of SAFWCO CED SECTOR for each year. The SAFWCO CED SECTOR Audit Committee reviews the recommendations of the auditors and the respective management comments, as well as the actions taken against the above recommendations. In 2010, the Audit Committee developed an Internal Audit Charter that was subsequently approved. The Audit Committee will be held four times during 2010.
